Albert A. Petrossian, MD

Dr. Petrossian was born in Baltimore, Maryland but spent his formative years in La Cañada Flintridge, California. He went on to receive his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine. Subsequently, he was admitted to the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond where he completed his medical studies. During these years he gained exposure to and interest in the specialty of urology. Dr. Petrossian went on to complete his general surgery internship and urology residency training at the Medical College of Virginia where he served as a Chief resident in Urologic surgery.

During his residency he was published in multiple medical journals and had the opportunity to present at numerous scientific meetings at the regional, national, and international level. In addition, Dr. Petrossian was awarded numerous resident travel awards and received first place finishes for the Radiology Competition at the Virginia Urologic meeting as well as the Resident Research Day at the Medical College of Virginia.

Having completed his training, Dr. Petrossian opted to return to his roots in Southern California where he saw an opportunity to serve the local community he grew up around.

Dr. Petrossian treats a broad range of general urologic conditions including urologic cancer, stone disease, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, men’s health, and infertility. In addition, he is trained in minimally invasive techniques including laparoscopy, robotic surgery (Da Vinci), micro-surgery, prosthetics, and the Greenlight Laser.

He is a member of The American Urologic Association, The Endourological Society, and the Western Section of the American Urologic Association.

In his spare time, Dr. Petrossian enjoys spending time with his family as well as fishing, camping, playing guitar, cooking, and tennis.
